Legemiddelgruppen omfatter bl.a. antitrombotiske midler (forebygge blodpropp) og midler mot anemi. Totalt salg i ATC gruppe B i kroner (AUP) var på 1,2 milliard i 2010, og er dette er samme nivå som i 2009. Kostnadene innenfor gruppen antitrombotiske legemidler (B01) har gått ned i 2010, og dette skyldes i hovedsak introduksjon av generiske alternativer for klopidogrel.
Salg av acetylsalisylsyre (B01AC06), brukt for å forebygge blodpropp, har økt gradvis over lang tid. Tall fra Reseptregisteret viser at rundt 375 000 personer fikk forebyggende behandling med acetylsalisylsyre i 2010. Salget av andre antitrombotiske midler som klopidogrel (B01AC04) og warfarin (B01AA03) var relativt stabilt i 2010 i forhold til 2009. Salg av dabigatran og rivaroksaban økte i 2010, og dette må ses i sammenheng med endring av refusjonsvilkår fra juli 2010. Acetylsalisylsyre utgjør en andel på 74 % av det total salg i DDD i ATC gruppe B01, men bare 22 % av kostnadene i gruppen.

This group comprises antithrombotic agents and antianemic preparations etc. Total turnover in ATC group B was NOK 1.2 billion (AUP) in 2010 and this similar to the total sales in 2009. There has been a cost reduction in 2010 the group of antithrombotic drugs (B01), due to the introduction of generics for clopidogrel.
The sales of acetylsalicylic acid, used to prevent thrombosis, have been gradually increasing over time. Data from the Norwegian Prescription Database (NorPD) show that in 2010 around 375 000 individuals received treatment with acetylsalicylic acid in Norway. The sales of other oral antithrombotics such as clopidogrel (B01AC04) and warfarin (B01AA03) has been relatively constant in 2010 compared with 2009, while the use of dabigatran and rivaroxaban increased. Acetylsalicylic acid constitutes 74% of the total sales in ATC group B01 measured in DDDs, but only 22% of the costs.
